We would like to thank everyone for the generous donations made during the week of VBS for New Hope Children's Home. We appreciate the many supplies for the children and monetary contributions that will help with the day to day expenses of running the home. If you are planning on attending ICC or Bradley this year there is a sign-up sheet at the information center where you can give the committee your info.

The Welcome Weekend for new or returning students to ISU, Heartland, or Wesleyan will be held on Sunday, August 16th at Bloomington church. Students and families are welcome to attend Bloomington church for the day. Registration begins at 4:00pm with a pizza dinner served at 4:30pm. The Welcome Dinner is for the students and their families and is a great way to begin the semester.

There is a sign-up sheet at the information center if you would like to receive special prayer requests. You can receive these requests via e-mail or phone message. Please indicate your preference on the sign-up sheet.

The annual World Relief meeting will be held Thursday, August 6th at Morris. Everyone is invited to attend. More details are available at the information center. There are also copies of the latest World Relief newsletter available.

Everyone is warmly invited to a benefit dinner and Gospel sing on August 22nd in Cissna Park at the Mark and Dinah Wilkening Farmstead (354 N 1300 E Rd, Cissna Park). Dinner starts at 4:30PM and music begins at 5:45PM. Musical groups include southern Gospel group The Browns, High Cross (Cissna Park), and Brush Arbor (Tremont/Washington). The evening will benefit Loving Shepherd Ministries’ work with vulnerable children around the world. All are welcome! Please contact Joe Gerber at 260-273-2153 with questions. The event is being hosted indoors in a climate-controlled environment, so you’ll be comfortable rain, shine, or heat!

We are thankful to announce the engagement of Bro. Jason Schick to Sis. Kari Wuthrich. Bro. Jason is the son of Bro. Dave and Sis. Ann Zobrist (and the late Bro. Steve Schick). Sis. Kari is the daughter of Bro. Kenny and Sis. Lori Wuthrich from Bloomfield, IA. We pray the Lord will bless their union together.
