2015 October 4 Announcements

Our October collection will be for the Apostolic Christian World Relief.  The purpose of this collection is to provide humanitarian aid and volunteer labor to alleviate human misery and suffering throughout the world, first to the household of faith, and then to others as much as we are able, in a way that is a Christian witness and brings glory to God.  Our Goodfield donations are administered by the National World Relief committee.  The rebuilding efforts in Arizona and Oklahoma are examples of projects that will be supported by this fund.
Help is needed at the Eureka food Pantry this Tuesday at 12:30 to unload trucks. If you have any questions please see Sis. Dawn Maloney.
ACTIVE will meet this Wednesday evening. 3 year old thru 4th grade will be outside and should dress warm.
Bro. Nathan will have a topical Bible presentation this Wednesday evening. His topic is “The Just Shall Live By Faith” a Study of Habakkuk.

There will be singing at the home this Saturday at 6:45.

Just a quick reminder that the Loving Shepherd Ministries will be hosting a meal and charity auction for the orphans of Haiti and Ethiopia on Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Five Points Washington.  The meal and Silent Auction start at 5:30PM with the Live Auction starting at 6:30PM. Items are still needed. If you would like to donate an item, please contact Bro. Wade or Sis. Hallie Wettstien.  The auction is a wonderful evening of fellowship and enjoyment while raising much needed funds to help the world’s most vulnerable children.  All are invited to attend. There will be free childcare provided, so couples with young children are encouraged to attend. Visit loving-shepherd.org to learn more about what the evening will be supporting.

We plan on having baptisms for Tori Taufer, Ambria Herrmann and Claire Hohulin on November 14th and 15th.

We also plan to have baptisms for Emily Thompson on November 28th and 29th.

Update on Bro. Mike Wirtz from Sis. Lila,

Open heart surgery was successful. They removed 4 inches of his ascending aorta due to the aneurysm in that area, and replaced his aortic valve. The performed a maze procedure which interrupts the abnormal electrical current in the heart that causes his atrial fibrillation. He is looking forward to possible discharge date of this Tuesday. We have been so blessed, but are asking for no visits at this time. Calls and cards are definitely welcome. We appreciate all the prayer warriors. Please keep the prayers coming.

We rejoice with Carly Hartman as she has turned her life over to the Lord in repentance. May she feel God’s nearness and grace. What a joy we feel as a church family at times like these. Carly is Bro. Jim and Sis. Ree Hartman’s daughter.

Bro. Brian Rieke gave an update on the progress of our Fellowship Hall building project. Click here for more info.
