2015 September 27 Announcements

Just a reminder that our monthly collection is for Hospital Lumiere in Haiti.
Loving Shepherd Ministries will be hosting a meal and charity auction for the orphans of Haiti and Ethiopia on Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Five Points Washington.  The meal and Silent Auction start at 5:30PMwith the Live Auction starting at 6:30PM. Items are still needed. If you would like to donate an item, please contact Bro. Wade or Sis. Hallie Wettstein. The auction is a wonderful evening of fellowship and enjoyment while raising much needed funds to help the world’s most vulnerable children.  All are invited to attend. There will be free childcare provided, so couples with young children are encouraged to attend. Visit loving-shepherd.org to learn more about what the evening will be supporting.
There will be another work/mission trip going to Zambia to Lifesong and Bro. Erik and Sis. Carrie Wiegand’s. They are looking at going middle-late January. They will be constructing a building for equipment and Lifesong Farm. If you are interested in going or have questions please contact Bro. Kevin Wiegand within the next couple weeks.
To all brothers, sisters, and friends of the Apostolic Christian church,
As you are aware, Apostolic Christian World Relief and Apostolic Christian Mission Committee have been working towards a merger so that together they can provide integrated outreach that ministers to body and soul.
This merger is now nearly complete and starting in January 2016, these two organizations will be one new entity, operating under a single new name.
The name that has been chosen, and subsequently ratified by the elder body with unanimous support, is Apostolic Christian HarvestCall.
HarvestCall’s name fits its purpose, which is to sow seeds of goodness and truth, trusting the Lord to give the increase, and call the brotherhood to proclaim Christ and serve others so that the lost might hear the Savior’s call.
This name will take effect in January 2016 when the integrated organization begins operation. For questions about the name and the integration process, please visit acworldrelief.org/integration.
We have been encouraged by the Lord’s leading throughout this process and ask for your continued prayers and support for our brotherhood’s outreach efforts as we transition to HarvestCall.
Please be prayerful for Bro. Mike Wirtz as he is having heart surgery done this Tuesday in Chicago.
We are thankful to announce the engagement of Bro. Will Rokey to Sis. Jamie Wiegand.  Bro. Will is the son of Bro. Ben and Sis. Shelly Rokey. Sis. Jamie is the daughter of Bro. Wayne and Sis. Rosemary Wiegand. We pray the Lord will bless their union together.
