2016 January 20 Announcements

There are renderings and samples of the planned fellowship hall finishes on display in the south entryway of the church.  Please take the opportunity in the next two weeks to review them and provide feedback to the building or interior committees.  We plan to ask for a vote of support for these finishes on Sunday, January 24th.

Food pantry food pick up at Eureka IGA Saturday, January 23. 8:00 am. We need 3 pick-up trucks and people to load and unload the trucks (total of 6 people would be good). We do not need trailers as we have in the past, by using IGA we can make a second trip if needed. Please see Sis. Dawn Maloney if you have questions or can help.

Family hymn sing for January has been moved due to the singing group coming from Indiana! It will be this SATURDAY, January 23 at the church. We plan to have a chili supper at 5 PM followed by the usual singing at 6:30. Becky Gerber and Rhonda Fiechter and their families from Bluffton plan to sing to us. We look forward to a wonderful evening together. This is a great opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor as well!

The church Men's sing will be at Bro. Ron and Sis. Kary Wiegand's home on Monday, January 25th at 7:00.

The Silver Lining is planning a special article section featuring mothers. You are encouraged to contribute. The topic is: How has your mother influenced your walk with Christ?  Please send your contributions answering that question to: editor@acsilverlining.org by Feb. 20, 2016. For Questions or Assistance: Contact Katy Frantz at frantz.katy@gmail.com
Please consider helping make this upcoming section of the Silver Lining be a blessing to mothers and the entire brotherhood.

Apostolic Christian HarvestCall is eager to announce a Winter Rebuilding Ministry in Bastrop County, Texas. Two floods – one in May and another in October - caused severe damage to hundreds of homes. A wildfire in mid-October destroyed approximately 65 homes. Many families have been displaced by these disasters and are in need of help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives.  Thirty volunteers are needed each week starting Feb. 7 and continuing through April 30th. Please consider giving of your time and talents to minister to those in need.
• Skilled tradesmen and unskilled workers are needed, as are those with an interest in sharing their faith with those we serve.
• Get additional information and register at www.harvestcall.org

We will be sending out ballots for Sunday School teachers and Trustees this week. Please prayerfully consider this. Bro. Jeff would like to have them back by the end of January.

Please be prayerful for the group that is traveling to Zambia Africa this weekend.

Bro. Roy Roth fell and fractured his hip. He had replacement surgery yesterday and is recovering. The family requests no visitors during this time. Please be prayerful for Bro. Roy and his family during this time.

Bro. Jeff Grimm gave a report of the Elder forums that were held this past week. Topics that were discussed were small Church support and planting, effective communication, delegation and the cultural challenges that we and other Christian are facing. Your prayers were felt as we had a very productive and informative meeting.
