2016 September 11 Announcements

Our September collection is for Hospital Lumiere down in Haiti.  It takes a large sum of money to maintain a 120-bed hospital in Haiti.  By the grace of God, the Haitians have asked our Apostolic Christian Church and the HarvestCall Committee to oversee & manage this hospital.  What a blessing it’s been. As you know Bro. Kurt and Sis. Joan Plattner serve at the Hospital. Please consider giving to this very worthy cause during our special collection in September.

HarvestCall sewing will be meeting on Tuesday, September 13 from 9-noon. Babysitting will be provided and we encourage you to come join us in our new work space at the fellowship hall. We will be tying comforters, packaging bibles, filling health kits, and repairing prison uniforms (bring your sewing machines). We'd love to see new faces, so come visit and see what we do!

We will be having Church at the Fellowship Hall this Wednesday evening. ACCFS plans to be here to present “Safe technology use for the whole Family”. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this very important seminar. We plan to have ACCFS come one more time this year in November.

There will be singing at the El Paso Healthcare center this Saturday at 7pm.

We will be hosting ACYF day next Sunday. Peoria, Taylor, Princeville and Roanoke are invited.

We plan to have testimonies and baptisms Friday, September 23rd and Sunday the 25th for Jacob, Brock and Braden Wiegand. The sign-up sheets will be out for food and waitresses for  the baptism.  The group helping this time will be group 2.  If anyone has a question please see Sis. Paul Hartman.

Bro. Dale Wyss has placed some HarvestCall newsletters at the information center.

Loving Shepherd Ministries will be hosting a meal and charity auction for the orphans of Haiti and Ethiopia on Friday, October 14, 2016, at the Five Points Washington.  The meal and Silent Auction start at 5:30PM with the Live Auction starting at 6:30PM. Items are still needed. If you would like to donate an item, please contact Bro. Wade or Sis. Hallie Wettstein.   The auction is a wonderful evening of fellowship and enjoyment while raising much needed funds to help the world’s most vulnerable children.  All are invited to attend. There will be free childcare provided, so couples with young children are encouraged to attend. Visit loving-shepherd.org to learn more about what the evening will be supporting.

The Hospital Lumiere Auction will be held at 4:30 pm on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Five Points Center in Washington, Illinois. Auction items are needed and the list is at the information center.
