2017 January 15 Announcements

The collection for the month of January is for our HarvestCall Disaster Relief fund. This Church collection is to provide readily available funds in anticipation of a disaster occurring later in the calendar year. Examples include tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, or other national or local disasters similar to what happened to Washington or where our Harvestcall work teams have been.

Anyone who couldn't make it to young group Bible study Friday, please see Sis. Mallory and sign up for hosting Bible study and helping on a committee for the activities for the year. There are still several openings that need to be filled! Thanks! YG committee

Over the last year, the Goodfield-Congerville sextons and trustees have been reviewing the cemetery lot ownership records. These records go back many years and require actions in some cases to confirm the clear use by the surviving owner of record or a family member. A letter will be going out to owners of multiple lots to encourage families to review the intended use and take this opportunity to update the cemetery records. No action will be required for lots currently owned however if changes are desired your records can be updated with the assistance of the sextons. If you have any questions regarding ownership and use of these lots per the current Goodfield-Congerville Apostolic Christian Cemetery Rules and Guidelines, please feel free to contact Bro. Ted Taufer or one of the trustees.

There will be ACTIVE this Wednesday evening.

We felt your prayers at the recent elder forums. As you know, we do not make decisions at the forums but it gives us a time and place to visit about relevant topics in the light of God's holy Word. It helps us to be better prepared to make decisions at the midwinter conference which will be March 8-10 in Bloomington. In cooperation with ACCFS we have come up with extensive material and helps for those battling sexual addictions such as pornography. There are also helps for ministers and mentors as they come alongside those who are struggling. Please get in touch with Bro. Jeff Grimm if you need any of this material or help.
