2017 November 19 Announcements

Our monthly collection is for the Eureka Home. We are thankful to have a wonderful place that cares deeply for our loved ones. Please consider supporting the home this month.

HarvestCall’s next large-scale winter rebuilding ministry project will be in Chester, South Carolina.

Numerous homes will be rebuilt or repaired for disadvantaged people who suffered catastrophic flooding and/or long-term water damage and accumulated disrepair. They are in need of our help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives.

Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 7, 2018 and continuing through March 29, 2018. Please consider giving of your time and talents to minister to those in need.

·         Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share their faith with those we serve.

·         Get additional information and register at www.harvestcall.org

Please note: team openings tend to fill up very quickly so don’t delay registering.

Wendy Falk, the volunteer coordinator, at Eureka Nursing home is looking for people to bake cookies or candy for the Residents Christmas party on 12/22. Items need to be dropped off the day before or by 9 am on 12/22 at Activity office. A sign-up sheet will be at message center. If questions, please call Wendy Falk.

Young group sing for others will be at the condos in Eureka Monday night at 6:30. They plan to go to Pizza Hut afterwards.

There will be a meeting to review changes for transportation from the nursing home, duplexes, and condos. Family members of those riding, drivers or possible new drivers should attend a brief meeting following services on Sunday, December 3rd in the church dining room.

All church Christmas caroling will be Friday, December 8th at 6pm. Sign-up sheets are at the message center. Please see Sis. Kasey Roth or Sis. Ashley Schieler with any questions.

Save this date!!!!  We are planning a women’s seminar for Saturday, January 20th, 2018.  ACCFS will be presenting around the topic “Living a legacy”.  More information will be coming at a later date. Questions, see Sis. Deone Monfre or Sis. Amber Grimm.

We look forward to Thanksgiving services Thursday at 10am. This will cancel our normal Wednesday evening services.

Reminder that Bro. Jeff Grimm would like your minister direction ballots returned by Wednesday if possible.

The dinner list will be coming to a close mid-January. Please contact Sis. Deb Fehr if you would like to make changes to the list. She will need to know if you either want to join the list or be taken off of the list. Thank you.

An Amazon Wish List has been created to help Erik, Carrie and family with their transition back to the states. They are leaving most of their clothes and housewares behind. Items from the Wish List can be purchased directly from amazon.com or can be purchased elsewhere, just indicate on the Wish List that you intend to purchase that item to eliminate duplicates. To locate the Wish List, go to www.amazon.com, click on the "Friends & Family Gifting" tab, enter "carrie wiegand" in the "Find Someone's List" field, the list is titled "Wiegand Re-Entry." Items can be given to Mark and Connie Rocke or Ron and Kary Wiegand. Please contact Christy Wiegand or Adam or Maribeth Rocke if you have questions about using the Amazon Wish List or if you would like to donate money towards something off the Wish List. Another option would be to give a gift card to WalMart, Target, Amazon, etc. Thank you so much for generously blessing this precious family!

We rejoice with Martin & Sis. Emily Thompson as they were blessed with a baby boy named Malachi William on November 13th.
