2017 October 8 Announcements
Our October collection is for Hospital Lumiere in Haiti. It takes a large sum of money to maintain a 120-bed hospital in Haiti. By the grace of God, the Haitians have asked our Apostolic Christian Church and the World Relief Committee to oversee & manage this hospital. What a blessing it’s been. As you know Bro. Kurt and Sis. Joan Plattner serve at the Hospital. Please consider giving to this very worthy cause.
The Apostolic Christian HarvestCall benefit auction for Hospital Lumiere is planned for Friday, November 10 at Five Points in Washington. The food court and silent auction start at 4:30. The live auction begins at 7:00. For more information, or to donate an item or service, see the announcement on the church bulletin board or visit the HarvestCall website.
There will be HarvestCall Projects this Tuesday from 9 to noon at the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome.
Rotating potluck sign-up sheets are at the information center. Everyone must re-signup to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Jeremy Zacha or Sis. Jennifer Stoller.
The Young Group Parent Supper is Sunday, October 15 at Bro. Jeff & Sis. Janel Wiegand’s house. Please RSVP to Bro. Tyler Rocke by this Tuesday if you plan to attend.
Bro. Andy Kaufman from Bloomington will be here for our monthly topical Bible Study this Wednesday evening. Everyone is invited to come.
Loving Shepherd Ministries will be hosting a meal and charity auction for the vulnerable children of Haiti and Ethiopia on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Five Points Washington. The meal and Silent Auction start at 5:30PM with the Live Auction starting at 6:30PM. Items are still needed. If you would like to donate an item, please contact Bro. Wade or Sis. Hallie Wettstein. The auction is a wonderful evening of fellowship and enjoyment while raising much needed funds to help the world’s most vulnerable children. All are invited to attend. There will be free childcare provided, so couples with young children are encouraged to attend.
Just a reminder to listen to the conference recording for this week. Bro Nick Gutwein has this week’s talk and it is about our relationships with the lost.
Please be prayerful for Chuck and Diane Schrock and their family as his sister, Cheryl Wuthrich from Morton passed away last week.
Marissa Hutchinson (Brent Wiegand’s fiancé) went to the ER Wednesday night. She had emergency surgery and will be at Bro Menn for several more days. She is doing much better at this time but still needs our prayers for a full recovery.
