As you know, pornography has become a growing problem in our society and has affected the church as well. Seeking help on this is critically important. Recent surveys suggest that only 5% of women who are struggling with this issue seek out help from their pastor. Because of this we have developed a purity team in our Goodfield Congregation that include women as an option for seeking out help and healing.   The team includes Bros. Dan Schumacher, Nathan Wiegand, Cody Schumacher and Ty Taufer along with Sisters, Laura Wiegand, Ruth Grimm, Abbie Schumacher and Brenna Taufer.  These individuals have attended an awareness seminar from ACCFS and are available for any of you to visit with. Our prayer is that no one would be left languishing in this pervasive sin. By God’s grace and through confession, there can be a path to overcoming and regaining a beautiful relationship with our creator.

Just a reminder to listen to the conference recording for this week.  Bro. Victor Bauman has this week’s talk and it is about our relationships with our wives and children.

Note from Bro. Ron Messner on behalf of Apostolic Christian LifePoints:

Over the past year we have been working with new people in several positions which opened due to retirements and job changes. One position recently reopened. It is an excellent opportunity for a brother, sister or friend to serve in a leadership and servant capacity. The opening is the Resident Services Director at Timber Ridge. Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in education, health, social services or social sciences. It would be very helpful if they also had experience working with people with disabilities. They would be responsible for overseeing staff who plan training and programming for the residents of Timber Ridge. If anyone is interested they should contact Timber Ridge at 309-266-9781. Please apply or inquire by 10-15-17.

In addition we anticipate a couple of case manager positions coming open in the next several months. These also require a Bachelor’s Degree in education, health, social services or social sciences. Experience working with people with disabilities would be good but not required.

We rejoice with Bro. Dave and Sis. Kasey Roth as they were blessed with a baby boy named Greyson Keith on September 20th.
