We will be accepting monetary donations for operational costs for The En Gedi House in Jamaica. This home is run by Sis. Erin Davis where she & her daughter Neiah live & offer a safe home for babies.
The Home in Eureka is accepting applications for an Assistant Administrator. This key management position works very closely with the Administrator in the oversight of the Home. Please click-here to read more information about the job opening. Please prayerfully consider this special opportunity to serve our elderly. Interested individuals should submit a resume and application to the Home by August 31st. Applications can be found on the Home’s website at www.each.org.
We will be having services at the Eureka AC Home at 8:45 each Sunday morning in December. Any support would be appreciated.
There is a local family with a mother that is on bedrest and is in need of child care. Please see Sis. Lanae Wiegand for details.
All incoming Illinois State, Heartland Community College, and Illinois Wesleyan students AND their parents are invited to the ISU Young Group welcome dinner on Sunday, August 19th at the Bloomington Church. The evening will begin at 4 p.m. with a pizza party to kick off the upcoming year's activities!
ACCFS is having another marriage seminar this fall. Cultivating Connections will be held in West Lafayette, IN on September 28-29. You can register on the ACCFS website or by calling the office.
Bro. Gene Zobrist from Eureka passed away last evening. There are tentative plan for the visitation Tuesday evening and funeral at the Eureka Church on Wednesday. We will email the exact arrangements when they are known. Bro. Gene is our Sis. Dawn Maloney’s father. Please keep Sis. Dawn, Randy the Zobrist family in your prayers.
We felt your prayers at the Elder conference this week in Gridley. There was a lot of critical doctrinal teaching and it is very important that we all listen and learn. We will be focusing on each talk later this fall. In the meantime, if you would like to listen to the entire conference including the moderator please let Bro. Jeff Grimm know and he will get you CD’s or a link where you can listen on your computer or phone.
We are thankful to announce the engagement of our dear Bro. Tyler Rocke to Sis. Jackie Feucht from Washington. Bro. Tyler is the son of Bro. Jedd and Sis. Marsha Rocke and Sis. Jackie is the daughter of Bro. Curt and Sis. Beth Feucht. We pray the Lord will richly bless their marriage.
