2018 January 7 Announcements

Please be prayerful for Jessica Wiegand as she broke her leg last week. She had surgery on Thursday and is now recovering at home.

HarvestCall sewing will be held Tuesday from 9-noon at the fellowship hall.  Babysitting is provided.  Please join us!

There will be young group Bible study this Friday at Sis. Mallory Bauman’s starting at 7:30.

The singing at Timber Ridge scheduled for this Friday has been cancelled due to the influenza outbreak.

There is a sign-up sheet in the back hall for the women's seminar presented by ACCFS on January 20th. Please sign up if you plan to attend.  The seminar is recommended for girls and women high school age and older. Feel free to invite a friend but please sign both your name and your friends name so we can get an exact count.  For planning purposes, the seminar should be done early afternoon.  We look forward to a day of encouragement, learning, and fellowship! If you have any questions please see Sisters Amber Grimm or Deonne Monfre.

The Bloomington Midwest Food Bank auction and Gala dinner will be Saturday, April 14th. To donate money, an auction item, or purchase tickets, please contact Bro. Mike and Sis. Paula Hartman, Bro. Ron and Sis. Kary Wiegand or Bro. Lee and Sis. Alice Ruegsegger. Thanks for your support of the Midwest Food Bank!

Bro. Jeff Grimm will be attending the Elder Forums this week in Chicago. We will be discussing long term vision and mission for our Church along with how to better counsel and reach out to our sisters. We also plan to discuss how to address different issues that are relevant to the church in today’s society and how to address them. Please be prayerful for us as we meet.

We will be having our topical Bible study this Wednesday evening. Bro. Mike will have it and the topic is “Lessons from two Brothers”.

Our friend Bill Koepnick has been diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer.  He is facing surgery sometime this week (possibly Tuesday).  Please be prayerful that the Lord’s will be done and that he could be comforted through that.

Bro. Noel and Sis. Molly Davis would like to thank our church family for all of the cards, visits, prayers and acts of kindness during her surgery and recovery. They love and appreciate you all.

An Amazon Wish List has been created to help Bro. Erik, Sis. Carrie Wiegand and family with their transition back to the states. They are leaving most of their clothes and housewares behind. Items from the Wish List can be purchased directly from amazon.com or can be purchased elsewhere, just indicate on the Wish List that you intend to purchase that item to eliminate duplicates. To locate the Wish List, go to www.amazon.com, click on the "Friends & Family Gifting" tab, enter "carrie wiegand" in the "Find Someone's List" field, the list is titled "Wiegand Re-Entry." Items can be given to Bro. Mark and Sis. Connie Rocke or Bro. Ron and Sis. Kary Wiegand. Please contact Sis. Christy Wiegand or Bro. Adam or Sis. Maribeth Rocke if you have questions about using the Amazon Wish List or if you would like to donate money towards something off the Wish List. Another option would be to give a gift card to WalMart, Target, Amazon, etc. Thank you so much for generously blessing this precious family!
