Our collection for the month of February is for the HarvestCall Missions. HarvestCall is responsible for many ministries in the US, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Europe, Japan and several other countries where student education is sponsored. The undesignated donations we receive from church collections and individual donations are needed to fund approximately 41% of the needs of these ministries (roughly $4,000,000). The remainder is funded through designated donations. Your generous support is greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.
Harvest Call Sewing Projects will be held this week on Thursday, February 11, from 9-10:30.
We plan to have a Topical Bible Study this Wednesday evening. Bro. Nathan Wiegand will be teaching it.
We will have our Adult Friends Bible Studies each Sunday in the month of February. These will be held at the Fellowship Hall in the large room during the 9:00 service. Bro. Nathan will be leading the studies. Please be prayerful for Bro. Nathan and feel free to invite someone to attend.
There are Sharing the Gospel Bible studies available for you to take at the information center.
The Drive-thru Benefit Brunch and Silent Auction for the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home is on Saturday, March 6th, at the Goodfield Fellowship Hall from 9-11:30am. This has been a tough year for all of us, but the committee is asking for your support to come out and enjoy the drive thru brunch and participate in the drive thru Silent Auction. The Silent Auction is a much smaller scale and only has 11 items on it. The committee does NOT need any donation items for the auction. It is only service items this year. There is an Auction Listing located on the bulletin board. Please notice that there is a sign-up sheet for cinnamon rolls for the meal also. Since there is not a need for items this year, your participation will play a big part in the fundraiser for this event. We hope to see you there!! If you have any questions, please contact Sisters Missy Post, Jill Wagner, Kayla Wiegand or Jenise Wiegand.
Note of thanks:
Dear church family. It is so humbling and very encouraging to have received so many cards, texts, and calls at the glorious Homecoming for my dad. Heaven did just get sweeter, as many of you have experienced. Thank you. We are so thankful for this loving supportive church. Gary and Judy Musselman.
We rejoice with David & Kinsey Hoffman as they were blessed with a baby boy, Jameson Ross on February 2nd.

Reassembly Update:
Goodfield Church Family,
Greetings of love to each of you. A few weeks ago we shared with you our plans to begin moving back toward more normal worship practices. We are thankful that since that time the rate of cases of COVID-19 in our local community has continued to decrease steadily. At this time that local COVID-19 infection rate is back to a level similar to what it was last fall before we put our current precautions in place. Since that time many of our church family have had and recovered from COVID-19 and others have had the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, including the staff and residents at our Eureka nursing home. In the past few weeks our region of the state moved into the next reopening phase as well.
As planned, beginning on Sunday, February 14th we will return to having two worship services. The first service will be at 9:00AM and will include Sunday School, followed by a second service at 10:30AM. There will be a short time of fellowship between services, but we will not be serving food at this time. We will be removing our signs requesting face coverings and will continue to honor each other’s individual choice on when and where we choose to wear a face covering. Please continue to refrain from handshakes or other forms of physical touch when greeting.
Also starting on February 14th, Sunday School students will begin to gather in larger groups to start and end their day. Students should continue to report to their respective classrooms between 8:45 and 9:00AM and then students will go with their class to gather in one of the Sunday School assembly rooms for an opening message and singing. This will take place spaced out in several locations based on age. Those details were shared in a separate communication with teachers.
Our intent continues to be to return to our regular worship times and practices around Easter Sunday on April 4th. Please hold this loosely as we continue to monitor and respond to the COVID-19 situation in our local community. We will continue to offer the Gathering Room as a place to worship with social distancing and face coverings for those with health concerns for as long as it is needed or until Illinois is in Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan.
Thank you for your continued patience and prayers as we journey through this together. Let us all move forward together in love, shining as lights in a dark and troubled world, pointing the world toward Jesus as we glorify Him by loving as He loves.
For your planning purposes:
- Starting Feb 14th we will have 9am and 10:30am services with no lunch. This will continue until Easter Sunday.
- We plan to have communion on Good Friday April 2nd with a family service for everyone starting at 7pm and communion following.
- We will be handling it like we did last fall with individual servings.
- Babysitting will be provided at the FH
- On Easter Sunday April 4th we will have sunrise services starting at 7:30am with breakfast after and our main service at 10am.
- Starting Sunday April 11th we will go back to our normal service times of 10am and 12:20pm with lunch in between.
A group of sisters is working on how we can serve an appropriate and safe lunch going forward.
In Him,
Goodfield Ministry and Reassembly Team
