THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
YG girls’ and guys’ Bible studies are Tuesday at 7pm. Boys will be held at Wyatt and Drake Rocke’s and girls will be held at Amelia Zobrist’s.
This Wednesday evening Bro. Arlen & Sis. Katie Miller and Bro. Matt Kaufmann from ACCFS will be doing a presentation on “Family Discipleship” at 7:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall. This talk is meant to encourage us all in how we are discipling our children (of all ages) as our family units. Grandparents would definitely find it relevant as well. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
There will be an all church walk through shower for Sis. Taylor Kloter and Bro. Caleb Rassi on Tuesday, January 31st from 7-8 pm at the Gathering Room. Please bring $5-$10 and a paper product. If you would like to help with the shower, please sign up using this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0c4daeae22a6f49-walk1#/. Contact Sis. Lisa Rieke (309-231-2786) with any questions. Thank you!
Bro. Caleb Rassi and Sis. Taylor Kloter’s wedding is planned for February 19th. They would like to invite the entire church to the wedding ceremony and their reception. The reception will be held at the Fellowship Hall from 2:00 to 4:00 that day.
The lunch serving list is currently being updated. Please reach out to Sis. Megan Rokey if you wish to be added or removed from the dinner serving list.
Our annual Sunday school teacher and trustee ballot was emailed out last week. Please prayerfully fill this out and have it done by this Saturday, January 28th.
We would like to thank Bro. Daryl Blunier as he recently retired from song leading. May you and Sis. Lucy feel the Lord’s blessings and our appreciation for your years of service.
Sis. Ruth Moser's father, Dale Wiegand passed away on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Eureka with visitation from 9:00 to 9:45. Please be prayerful for the entire Wiegand family during this difficult time.
NATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Onward Media, a communications ministry of the Apostolic Christian Church of America, is in the process of developing an updated Sunday school curriculum resource for interested congregations. A Q&A article was emailed to the church this past week with more information. This article also recently appeared in the Silver Lining. The curriculum project is a large undertaking that requires a multitude of volunteers with various skill sets. If you are interested in helping with this effort, please visit the website listed in the article (apostolicchristian.org/curriculum-project).
REPENTANCE ANNOUNCEMENT:
The angels are rejoicing in that Kinley Stoller has surrendered her heart to the Lord in repentance. Kinley is the daughter of Bro. Darrell & Sis. Jennifer Stoller. We are thankful for her surrendered heart and the gift of salvation.
