LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
All 5th-12th grade girls are invited for an evening of food and games on Monday, October 12th, 5pm at Ed & Bonnie Sauder’s home in Roanoke. This will be our first GRIT (Girls Rooted In Truth) event. Please contact Sister Marissa Edelman if you would like to help out with GRIT events.
On October 17th and 18th, our Young Group will be hosting an invite. We would like the entire Goodfield church to feel like they are a part of this weekend. As the date gets closer, we will be announcing opportunities for the church family to help in different ways. This is a great opportunity to show a group of visiting young people our hospitality and love and reinforce the beauty of being a part of a brotherhood.
The Goodfield congregation is invited to be guests of the Bradford congregation for a supper and singing the evening of Sunday, October 25. Supper will begin at 5:00pm, with a singing to follow at 6:30pm at the Bradford church. Please sign up at the message center if you plan to attend. Singing will be in the sanctuary so church attire is appropriate. Contact Sis. Roxy Blunier with any questions.
It is now time to sign up for rotating potluck. If you would like to participate, the sign-up sheets are at the message center. If you have any questions, please see Bro. Mike or Sis. Gretchen Zimmerman or Bro. Tim or Sis. Susie Blunier.
Update to serving lunch list:
We have learned that many newly married couples thought they were automatically put on the serving list when they marry- that is not the case. We ask that you opt in. Please contact Sis. Megan Rokey to add you to the list. If serving lunch would be a financial burden to your family, Goodfield Church has a fund that can assist. Please let us know if that would be helpful to you. If you don't have family to help or you have small children please reach out to Megan because she knows of many that would be willing to help and support you. Please be prayerful and consider joining the lunch serving list. Once you are added you get put at the end of the list and won't serve for 1.5 or 2 years AFTER going on the list. You can reach out to Sis. Megan Rokey anytime between now and the spring to make changes to the lunch serving list for Spring of 2027.
LOCAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
LifePoints has volunteer opportunities you can sign up for! Check out this link for their dates and sign-ups, and please forward this email to those you know who may be interested!
THANK YOU:
The Schock family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to our church family for the outpouring of love and support following Loren’s mother Clara’s passing. From cards sent, to many miles traveled, to countless prayers spoken on our behalf, may the Lord richly bless you for your kindness toward us. Your care has been a beautiful gift as we walked through this difficult time. We love you all.
