Thanks again to all the men and boys who were able to attend our Growing Godly Guys or G3 event last Sunday morning. If you were unable to attend or sign up, please contact brothers Arlen Edelman or Keith Grimm. Next Steps:
· We will be putting everyone into groups on 11/15. Please respond by then if interested.
· Our goal is to start the 8 weeks on 11/18.
· Please download the Twelve app and you will be receiving an invite from your group coordinator once the groups are created.
· Each day you will take a picture of your reading/devotion and upload it to the app. This application is just for accountability and community. You can study what you are studying now, or create your own new study
HarvestCall sewing will be held Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Fellowship Hall.
There will be ACTIVE this Wednesday evening for all grades.
Don’t forget to prayerfully fill out your minister nomination ballot. We trust that the Spirit is moving among our church family so please continue to pray and fill them out by this Friday, November 17th.
HarvestCall’s next large-scale winter rebuilding ministry will be in Jennings, Louisiana.
Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 7, 2024, and continuing through March 22, 2024. Please consider giving your time and talents to minister to those in need.
Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the Gospel with those we serve.
Serving from a posture of humility is of utmost importance.
Online registration is required for all team members and opens at noon Central time this Wednesday, November 15th at www.harvestcall.org
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
If you’re looking for a way to share the love of Jesus, this opportunity may be for you! Our local MEALS ON WHEELS program has a need for drivers. Recently four of our drivers had to stop delivering Meals for various reasons. This leaves us with many gaps in our delivery schedule.
We need:
One driver for Mondays
Two drivers for Fridays
One driver for Wednesdays
and people who are willing to fill in as needed (they would not have a dedicated route). If you know someone that is willing to help out, but are only available one or two days a month, that is fine, we can work with that. For more information, please contact Kathy Bowald at (309) 224-8961. See Sis. Jenise Wiegand with questions.
All Church Christmas caroling will be Friday, December 1st at 6:00 p.m. Please meet in the church dining room. Sign-up sheets for food are at the message center. You can sign-up for caroling groups either online or at the message center. Please see sisters Abby Bauman or Brenna Taufer with any questions.
For all ladies in the church 5th grade and up:
We will be tying blankets for the Empower Life Center (formerly the Women’s Pregnancy Center) at the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, November 30 at 6:30pm. There will be cookies and warm drinks. This is also an opportunity to donate items for the clients of the Empower Life Center. Please contact Ellie Gramm or Carrie Blunier for more details.
The K-4 Active kids will be packing Operation Christmas Child boxes on November 15.
If your child wants to put together a box, please let Sis. Cassie Knepp know so we are sure to have enough boxes for each child. There is a paper with additional information that you can pick up at the message center or you can click on the link at the bottom of this email. Don’t forget to send in small toys/filler items for the boxes. We will take any donations for those items as well!
Please use this new link to sign up to help paint the mural in the Sunday School hallway. Anyone who can color inside the lines is welcome to sign up to help. Click here to view an updated slideshow of the progress on the Sunday school creation mural. We are asking for high school ages and older to help with the painting of the creation mural down in the church basement. We will have 3 or 4 people at a time and add more time slots as we progress so check back often. Contact Sis. Dawn Maloney with any questions.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT:
We rejoice with Bro. Jason & Sis. Abby Schick as they were blessed with a baby girl, Kayla Joy on November 6th.
