There will be a Blood Drive at the Fellowship Hall today, Monday, January 15th from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. You can sign up online or contact Sis. Lynda Hinrichsen for an appointment.
There will be ACTIVE for all grades this Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
We are excited to have the men and boys of our church get together again for our next Growing Godly Guys, or G3, Sunday morning coffee. This will be next Sunday, January 21st in the Gathering Room at 9:00. We will have a brief devotion and then discuss our Bible study accountability program. We encourage all men of the church and boys 5th grade and older to come.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We plan to have testimonies and baptisms for Wade Wiegand on January 27th and 28th. Testimonies will begin at 6:30 Saturday evening. It is group 3’s turn to help and bring food for the baptism. Click-here to sign up to help.
The Bible Class will be hosting a benefit dinner and silent auction at the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, March 2 for their Mission Trip to Sunset Gap, TN in June. Please mark your calendars so you can plan to attend and support the Bible Class. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
There will be a Middle School Youth Activity Night at the Eureka Middle School on January 28th for our 5th-8th graders. This is a great way to get the Sunday school students of our church together in the Wintertime for supper, have fun playing games, and continue to build relationships with each other. Student drop off is at 4:30pm and pick up is at 7:30pm. If you have any questions, please contact Bro. Bob or Sis. Ashley Schieler.
For our church small group winter Bible study, we selected the book called "Made for Friendship” by Drew Hunter. You have many options for participation. See Bro. Nate or Sis. Brittany Zeltwanger with questions.
The Made for Friendship books are in and we will have them available in the foyer at the south entrance like last year. PLEASE write your name on the sheet so we know who has one. We have ordered extras so if you will read it, please take one. Groups will be assigned after Jan. 7th as sign-ups are still open until then.
NATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Onward Media with the support of the Elder Body is in the process of updating the Sunday School curriculum resources available for teachers and students. Under the leadership of the Sunday School Curriculum Committee a team of authors, reviewers, coordinators, and illustrators from across our congregations have developed approximately 100 lessons for Preschool through 12th grade. Lesson topics and organization for the remaining 600 lessons have been chosen and are ready to be written. To meet our completion goal of December 2025, we need additional volunteers, especially authors, in most grade levels. We need brothers and sisters willing to spend 2-5 hours a week writing lessons and working with content, doctrine, and grammar teams to create lessons that come alongside our families in teaching who God is, what he has done, and how he wants our students...the future generation of our church...to live.
For more information about the project, listen to the Around the Table podcast from September 25, 2023. To volunteer, please sign up via the link that was in the announcements email.
This is a major project, and we need your help. Please continue to pray God directs this work and brings us the volunteers we need.
