Rewarding Service Work
Victory Home Care (owned by the Apostolic Christian Homes of Eureka and Roanoke) is urgently recruiting caring and compassionate individuals to assist their clients. Our clients are seniors that still live in their own homes, but need assistance preparing food, reminders to take medication, help with laundry and dishes, help with dressing and general supervision. This is a paid position and no certification is needed. Anyone with a willingness to serve seniors and is physically capable can apply. You will be given all the training needed to provide our non-medical services to our clients. There is a high demand for this service and we are currently staffing new clients in Woodford and Tazewell counties. Schedules can be flexible and daytime, overnight and weekend shifts are available. If you or anyone you know might be interested in becoming a caregiver for Victory, please contact our office at 309-306-2429 or email us at

Come Join Us for ALive 24
The Athens, Alabama congregation invites everyone to attend ALive 2024 on May 24th – May 27th (Memorial Day Weekend) for a weekend to rest, revive and relate through studying the Word, cross-generational fellowship, and singing. The event will be held at The Vision, a 300+ acre Christian retreat in Huntsville, Alabama, where lodging and meals will be provided. There are also many family friendly downtime activities available throughout the weekend.
As a small congregation, we have cherished the relationships and encouragement past ALive weekends have created for our local church family, and are grateful for y’all’s willingness to support a small piece of the “body” in such a way. This year, Bro. Jeff Waibel (Leo, IN), Bro. Mark Klaus (Athens, AL) and Bro. Jeremy Leman (Forrest, IL) plan to delve into the word and speak on “Stages of Faith”. These speaker sessions will be centered on belief, commitment, and action in our faith walk as believers in Jesus Christ.
We encourage anyone interested in attending ALive 24 to save the dates Friday, May 24th through Monday, May 27th. Registration will open online February 1st at www.ALiveAlabama.com. For more information, access the @ALiveAlabama Facebook page or send an e-mail to info@alivealabama.com.
An ALive Announcement Flyer has also been attached with more information including the weekend schedule.
We, in Athens, Alabama and on the ALicw committee, look forward to seeing y’all at ALive 2024.
