THANK YOU:

Our Bro. Andy Bauman is retiring from song leading. We want to thank him for serving our church as a song leader for 34 years. We are grateful to him and Sis. Rita for their efforts and pray God will bless them.

PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE:

An update on Bro. Sam Moser’s health issues:
The Amyloid in my lung has not grown in the 3 months of testing completed. The plan going forward is to have annual CT scans to watch for growth of the Amyloid, if no growth or no issues I will be able to live with it indefinitely. Should it start to grow, or I begin to have effects from the Amyloid, they will radiate the Amyloid, which they say that they have a high success rate with.
The mass in my pancreas turns out to be scar tissue, which has partially healed, the plan going forward is to do an MRI in August to verify continued healing, or lack thereof. My prayer is they can find why the pancreatic attacks continue.

BAPTISM ANNOUNCEMENT:

We rejoice that Fiona and Donovan Rocke are at peace with God and desire baptism. They are the daughter and son of Bro. Adam & Sis. Maribeth Rocke. We plan to hear their testimonies and baptize them June 21st and 22nd. Please feel free to reach out to them with any questions or encouragement between now and then and continue to pray for Fiona & Donovan.

The stewardship committee talked with the residents, and they said they desired a mixture of singing, and conversing or playing games with our church family. We’ve decided to have a 15-to-20-minute time of singing around the piano together. And then the rest of the time would be for conversing or playing games together. We will have tables with games set up. We plan to have these evenings 4 times per year on a Thursday evening. We look forward to spending time with our loved ones at the Eureka AC Home. The Eureka Home Auxiliary would like to thank the Goodfield congregation for their prayers, financial support, and help. This year’s Family Fest was a great success. We praise God! We will give opportunity for the Sunday School teachers to vote as well. If you remember, we need 60% of the membership to vote to make it official. Thank you for your patience yesterday as we tried cafeteria style church lunch. Here are a few points to remember: · We are not insinuating that we are switching to this style of serving lunch. It has been suggested numerous times as many other AC churches are offering it, and we need to be open to the possibility. · As we analyze our facility and try to plan for the future, we need to see current and potential pain points. Some things have to be experienced and not just imagined. · If we choose to offer this style of serving in the future, it will be decided by a committee using the information that we collect this fall. Constructive feedback is critical. Please be aware that any feedback that is shared will be copied into a shared document word for word for various committees to sort and organize. · Until a building committee chairperson is designated, you can send your feedback to Bro. Jeff Wiegand at successbyservice@gmail.com . We will have tables with games set up. We plan to have these evenings 4 times per year on a Thursday evening. We look forward to spending time with our loved ones at the Eureka AC Home. Please contact Bro. Derek or Sis. Joy Roth with any questions. Open House for “The Commons” at Gateway Woods is Saturday, October 25, with dedication at 10AM EDT. Rochester Guesthouse Caretaker Need This announcement pertains to the Guesthouse that was established in 2012 for use by those who are receiving medical care in Rochester, Minnesota. The operation of the guesthouse depends on a resident caretaker of the home who doubles as the host to guests staying about 1/3 of the evenings. Over the years, many have helped fill this role on a temporary or longer-term basis. We sincerely thank Brother Jim and Sister Marcy Knobloch for filling this need the past year amid renovating the home to add a lift to the lower level. As of November 1st, 2025, there is an opportunity for others to serve in the Guesthouse caretaker capacity. The Board of Directors of the Guesthouse is requesting anyone with a heart for and an interest in this work to make it known. The Board desires for someone to take up residence in the Guesthouse and operate it as the caretaker and host, ideally for an extended period. Anyone who feels led to pursue this opportunity should make it known to their local Elder or lead minister. If there are specific questions regarding this position, they may be directed to any of the Board members listed below. We ask for your prayers as the Guesthouse goes through this time of transition. The Rochester Christian Guesthouse Board of Directors Bro. David Messner Winthrop (Chair) Bro. Marti Knobloch Lester (Secretary) Bro. Kent Mogler, Minneapolis (Treasurer) Bro. Neil Schmidgall, Morris (Board member) Bro. Kent Banwart, West Bend (Vice-Chair) BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT: We rejoice with Bro. Jon & Sis.
