It is time to start gathering school supplies for the backpack project! We will be collecting items to pack 100 backpacks again this year for Heart House to distribute in our community. Please use the sign up genius or amazon wish list to see the items we need purchased. We will be collecting from June 22 - July 6th. Please bring items to church and put in the north entryway or if buying off amazon, you can have them shipped directly to Marsha. Please note the color, brands, and details (college ruled, etc) on the items. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sis. Marsha Rocke. Thank you so much!!
This year we are trying something different for our annual collection for Empower Life Center. Having asked the organization when the biggest need is, they stated it is the months of June and July. So, in coordination with the VBS committees, we are trying a collection during the week of VBS. A list of what the Center needs most can be found in the link at the bottom of this email, along with copies of the lists at the back hall. Collection bins will be located at the North and south entrances of the church. We will be collecting all week July 13-17 and delivery will be made the following week. Thank you all in advance! This will be in place of the November comforter Blitz. If you have any questions, please ask Sisters Dort Leman or Judy Musselman.
June is our month for Silver Lining collection. Please help us by editing the list at the information center if you would like to cancel, add a subscription or change your address. Any questions please see Sis. Amy Hinrichsen or Sis. Judy Knapp.
A Message from the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka Board of Directors:
Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and faithful support of the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka and our mission of providing Loving Care in the Spirit of Christ. Earlier this year, we shared presentations outlining the challenges and opportunities facing senior care and the future of this ministry. We are grateful for the thoughtful feedback, survey responses, and conversations that followed. After prayerful consideration, the Board of Directors has approved the Assisted Living building project at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka. We believe this project is an important step in meeting the future needs of seniors while strengthening the long-term sustainability of our mission. The design team is now finalizing plans and working to make the best use of resources as they prepare for construction bidding and final cost evaluation. We are thankful for the support expressed throughout this process, including the financial commitments already made toward this effort. We encourage continued prayers for wisdom, unity, and God's blessing as plans progress. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us through our capital campaign, “A Legacy of Care, A Future of Choice”. Donations designated for the Assisted Living Building Campaign will help support development of the new facility and the future ministry of the Home. Project updates will continue to be shared as significant milestones are reached. Please contact your local Board Members (Bro. Rod Hinrichsen & Bro. Darrell Stoller), with any questions or feedback. We thank God for His faithfulness over the past 60 years and look forward in faith as He continues to lead this ministry into the future.
NATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The HarvestCall Proclaim & Serve 2026 missions conference is Saturday, July 11 at Roanoke Church. Everyone is invited to this inspiring and thought-provoking event. You do NOT need to be a missionary or be actively involved in an outreach to attend. ALL are encouraged to come and be inspired, be challenged, and be better equipped to share the gospel. Learn more and register before the July 8 deadline at proclaimandserve.org.
All brothers, sisters, and converts are invited and encouraged to attend the 2026 General Conference of the Apostolic Christian Church which will be held in Ellington, CT on Saturday, August 8. This will be a wonderful day of worship, fellowship and learning together as we hear the hearts of church leadership and learn from the life of Daniel - a life that made God known. For details and to register, please go to http://www.apostolicchristian.org/general-conference. This site includes the detailed agenda, session descriptions and a registration link, as well as suggested itineraries to enjoy a few extra days in Connecticut. Please register by July 27. The Ellington congregation will be delighted to host you. If you have questions related to the logistics of the conference, please reach out to ellingtonconference2026@gmail.com.
In an effort to have more people attend the General Conference in community this year, the ACCA conference’s national planning committee has decided to host a central Illinois satellite location in Goodfield. Those Illinois brothers, sisters, and converts who are not able to attend the live event in Ellington, Connecticut are invited and encouraged to attend the live-stream of the conference in Goodfield.
With the one-hour time difference between Connecticut and Illinois, the live-stream of the conference at the Goodfield satellite location will begin at 7:45 A.M. and end at 2:30 P.M. (central time). A registration link to sign up and attend the Goodfield satellite location event will become available on June 28th and close on July 20th. In order to host this satellite location, one hundred (100) individuals will need to be registered to attend. Also, attendance will be limited to three hundred (300). Sign-up will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The Goodfield satellite location is being hosted by the Congerville and Eureka church congregations, using the facilities of the Goodfield church. If this option works for you, please sign up as soon as the registration link becomes available on June 28th.
Sister Heart is a weekend for women to fellowship, sing, and praise God together. The 10th biennial Sister Heart is planned, Lord willing, for August 15 - 16, 2026, in Canaan, OH.
