2026 July 5 Announcements
MONTHLY COLLECTION:
Our collection for the month of July is for Apostolic Christian LifePoints. LifePoints provides Christian homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With our support, LifePoints serves individuals at 17 homes that include Timber Ridge, Oakwood Estate, Linden Estate, and 14 smaller homes throughout Morton called Community Integrated Living Arrangements or “CILAs”. Since services are provided to each individual without regard to his or her ability to pay, our donations are needed for this outreach.
CALENDARS: Church calendar, yearly calendar, young group calendar, national church calendar
SERMONS: Audio/Video
SERVES LUNCH IN 2 WEEKS: Doug Wiegand (7/19)
THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
This Wednesday, July 8th we plan to have an important informational meeting at the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 p.m. regarding our church building. We will be presenting some general options and taking questions. Immediately after the presentation, we will be sending out a survey to gauge the church’s feelings about the options. We strongly encourage everyone who is able to attend that meeting to learn what the building exploration committee has put together.
This Thursday, July 9th will be a music and game night at the Eureka AC Home at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited and we will go out to Lydia’s Dairy Barn for ice cream afterwards.
The Eureka AC Home Family Fun Day got rescheduled for this Friday, July 10th due to rain the day it was originally scheduled. They are looking for volunteers to help, you can sign-up here.
Next Sunday morning we will have a G3 coffee chat in the Gathering Room at 9:00 a.m. All men and boys 5th grade and up are invited.
Anyone with an item to donate to the Leo auction should contact Bro. Greg or Sis. Jill Wagner this week. They must have the items by Monday, July 13. Anything after that date will arrive too late and will be on the 2027 auction. People can still donate through the
Amazon Wishlist. They also need Volunteers for many jobs. You may
sign up to volunteer here. Jill Wagner 309-267-2109

This year we are trying something different for our annual collection for Empower Life Center. Having asked the organization when the biggest need is, they stated it is the months of June and July. So, in coordination with the VBS committees, we are trying a collection during the week of VBS. A list of what the Center needs most can be found in the link at the bottom of this email, along with copies of the lists at the back hall. Collection bins will be located at the North and south entrances of the church. We will be collecting all week July 13-17 and delivery will be made the following week. Thank you all in advance! This will be in place of the November comforter Blitz. If you have any questions, please ask Sisters Dort Leman or Judy Musselman.
The Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke is actively searching for an individual that has a passion for geriatric care to serve as our Social Service Director. We want to thank Emily Cooksey for her 9 years of service to our Home and wish her God’s blessings as she becomes a stay at home mom. This position coordinates the intake processes and discharge planning as well as participating in weekly care planning meetings. A degree is not needed for this position, however; compassion, excellent communication skills and conflict-resolution skills are required. If you are interested or would like to find out more about this opportunity to serve, please contact Nate Hoffman at 309-923-2071 or email at nate@achroanoke.org
