THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
It is time to start gathering school supplies for the backpack project! We will be collecting items to pack 100 backpacks again this year for Heart House to distribute in our community. Please use the sign up genius or amazon wish list to see the items we need purchased. We will be collecting from June 22 - July 6th. Please bring items to church and put in the north entryway or if buying off amazon, you can have them shipped directly to Marsha. Please note the color, brands, and details (college ruled, etc) on the items. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sis. Marsha Rocke. Thank you so much!!
There will be a quick meeting right after church next Sunday, July 5th down in the Sunday School Assembly room for everyone who has signed up to help with the downstairs VBS. If you are unable to attend, please let Bro. Troy or Sis. Carrie Blunier know so that they can get your folder to you.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We are looking forward to Vacation Bible School on July 13th - 17th. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer for VBS. We are looking for 1 more individual to fill the last remaining slot. Please contact Sisters Carrie Blunier, Kayla Wiegand, Melissa Rokey or Jessica Hodel if you have any questions. Sign-up here to help with VBS.
On Wednesday, July 8th we plan to have an important informational meeting at the Fellowship Hall regarding our church building. We will be presenting some general options and taking questions. Immediately after the presentation, we will be sending out a survey to gauge the church’s feelings about the options. We strongly encourage everyone who is able to attend that meeting to learn what the building exploration committee has put together.
This year we are trying something different for our annual collection for Empower Life Center. Having asked the organization when the biggest need is, they stated it is the months of June and July. So, in coordination with the VBS committees, we are trying a collection during the week of VBS. A list of what the Center needs most can be found in the link at the bottom of the announcements email, along with copies of the lists at the back hall. Collection bins will be located at the North and south entrances of the church. We will be collecting all week July 13-17 and delivery will be made the following week. Thank you all in advance! This will be in place of the November comforter Blitz. If you have any questions, please ask Sisters Dort Leman or Judy Musselman.
