THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
The Young group Bible studies will be held this Tuesday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m. Guys will be at Bro. Wyatt and Drake Rocke’s home and girls will be at Sis. Shannon Roth’s home.
This Wednesday evening Bro. Jeff Grimm plans to do a topical Bible study on marriage by faith. This would apply to anyone thinking about marriage now or in the future. We would like all of the church family to attend as this topic will touch on principles that we will all be involved in. This will be at the Fellowship Hall at 7:00.
Outside clean-up of the church grounds will be held this Saturday, April 29th. We will start at 8:00 a.m. Please bring push brooms, rakes, garbage cans, and other landscaping/ lawn tools. Please contact Bro. Kris Swords with any questions. We plan to do a modified inside cleaning when the Sunday school project is completed. We will let you know when a date has been set for that.
It is Goodfield’s turn to have Sunday morning services at the Eureka AC Home each Sunday in April. These services begin at 9:00 a.m. Up to 25 people (including children) can attend so please come help sing and support our ministers if you are able. Next Sunday, April 30th, Bro. Kent Wiegand will have the service and Bro. Nate Bauman plans to lead the singing so please let one of them know if you plan to be there.
Due to the remodel project, Sunday school was canceled yesterday for the Pre-K through the 8th grade classes. We plan to have Sunday school for all grades (except 3-year-olds) resume next Sunday, 4/30. Please contact Bro. Bob Schieler with any questions.
Join AC LifePoints next Sunday, April 30th, at 6:00PM for the annual LifePoints Gospel Sing at FivePoints in Washington, Illinois! We have changed the day of this event from Saturday evening to SUNDAY evening to hopefully allow for more individuals to attend. We are excited to share the evening together in corporate worship and song! We are also looking forward to hearing from one of our residents’ family members about the impact Apostolic Christian LifePoints has had on their family’s life. Babysitting services will be provided, and the evening will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person. Online registration is encouraged but not required. Tickets can be reserved at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lifepoints-gospel-sing-2023-tickets-568105818797. You may contact Bro. Royce Schieler if you have any questions.

Thank you for your participation in the recent survey to support moving forward with a new elder search in Goodfield. The result of the survey showed overwhelming support to move forward. Your kind and thoughtful comments were very much appreciated. I plan to give an update on next steps Sunday May 14th. This is not a time for chatter, speculation, or gossip. Please take the next few weeks to be prayerful and thoughtful for this process, that the Lord’s will can be accomplished. Below is our tentative timeline:

· Sunday May 14th Jeff G. to share next steps and process
· Sunday May 21st Bros. Ron Messner, Frank Sauder and James Fehr to address the church during afternoon service
· Monday May 22nd: Survey mailed out
· Wednesday May 31st: Surveys due in
· Sunday June 11th: Announcement of results of the survey
· Sunday August 20th Tentative ordination date
NATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka is offering a Summer Junior Volunteer Program for students going into 7th grade through High School. If you’re interested in this, please click on the links at the bottom of this email. Contact Bro. Bob Schieler with any questions.
AC LifePoints is looking for individual or individuals to provide furniture refinishing skills. Over the last two years the use of harsh chemical to clean our facilities have taken a toll on our residents’ dressers and bedside tables. If you have the skill set to refinish furniture and would like to share it with AC LifePoints or get more information, contact our volunteer coordinator, Jolene Wake at volunteer@aclifepoints.org or fill out a volunteer application on our website at https://www.aclifepoints.org/Vol.asp. We can coordinate local or distant volunteers for this project. We also have one home that has interior trim & molding that needs refinishing. This would require an onsite individual or team. Please see Bro. Royce Schieler with any questions.
PRAYER REQUEST:
Please be prayerful for Bro. Sam & Sis. Ruth Moser and their family as Sam’s father, Bill Moser passed away yesterday. Visitation will be today in Morris, MN and funeral on Tuesday.
