MONTHLY COLLECTION:
Our collection for the month of August is for Gateway Woods Children’s Home. Gateway Woods offers Christ-centered social services and residential facilities in northeast Indiana, including residential childcare, on-grounds schooling, foster care, adoption and home-based services. The mission is to honor and obey God by providing hope and healing to troubled children and families who then may bless others.

THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
Bro. Jay and Sis. Jackie Braker from our Roanoke congregation plan to be with us this Wednesday evening to share how God worked in a near death scuba experience. This will be at the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome.
The Bible Class is going to have a kickoff night at the Gathering Room this Wednesday, August 9th at 7:00 p.m. We are excited for the upcoming Sunday School year and hope you can make it!
The Morton church is excited to host the ACCA Conference this week and pray that God will be glorified, and our national church strengthened and edified. While we hope our Morton Church is packed next Friday, August 11th for the General Brotherhood Conference, the event will be video livestreamed, which will be accessible via three pathways:
1.
AC Central – look for Morton under “Streaming Now” or “Sermons”
2.
Morton Website – there will be a “Watch Live” button on the home page
3.
ACCA Website – there will be a “Watch Live” button under Resources/Brotherhood
As a reminder, congregational singing will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by Morning Conference Presentations from 9:00 to 11:30. The lunch break will be from 11:30 to 1:00, with singing beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by Afternoon Conference Presentations from 1:00 to 3:30. If you can’t join us in-person, we hope you can participate in the conference via video livestreaming.
Please be prayerful for brothers Jeff W. and Nathan as they are interviewed this week at the conference. Bro. Jeff W. will be interviewed Tuesday evening around 6:30 and Nathan will be on Thursday around 1pm. Lord willing, we plan to have their ordinations on Sunday evening, August 20th starting at 6pm. All are invited to attend. Including children.
It is Goodfield’s turn to have Sunday morning services at the Eureka AC Home each Sunday in August. These services begin at 8:45 a.m. Please come help sing and support our ministers if you are able.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Please join us for the Family Hymn Sing Ice Cream Social next Sunday, August 13th at the Fellowship Hall. We plan to start singing at 6 p.m. Uncle Bob’s ice cream will follow! Please sign up at the message center OR online using this link so we know how many to plan for!

We are asking for high school ages and older who like art, drawing and having fun, to help with the painting of the creation mural down in the church basement. We will have 3 or 4 people at a time and add more time slots as we progress so check back often. You can review the available time slots and sign-up using this link. Contact Sis. It is time for the Heart House ice cream social in the Metamora Park. If you would be willing to donate pies to this event, please sign up on the sheet at the message center. They will need pies delivered to Heart House by noon on Friday, August 25th. If you have any questions, please see Sis. Judy Musselman. Thank you in advance!
SAVE THE DATE: The 2nd Annual Eureka Home Family Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Goodfield Fellowship Hall, 4p-8p. Please mark your calendars and come out to support our local Home for this fun family event. More details will follow later.

The first "Grafted Gathering" event will be held on Saturday, September 23rd (Adoption/Foster Families Support Day) If there's a cause worth fighting for, it's this: Children belong in families and need Love and Support. DATES TO REMEMBER:
Testimonies and baptisms for Valerie Roth & Hadley Plattner: September 16th & 17th. We’d like to invite our Goodfield church to a singing after Val and Hadley’s baptism on September 17th at the Fellowship Hall at 6:30.
Loving Shepherd Ministries Benefit Auction will be Saturday, September 30th at Five Points in Washington. Dinner & Silent Auction 5:30 p.m. Live Auction 6:30 p.m. Child care provided.
REPENTANCE ANNOUNCEMENT:
The angels are rejoicing in that Meredith Rokey has surrendered her heart to the Lord in repentance. Meredith is the daughter of Bro. Robert & Sis. Melissa Rokey. We are thankful for her surrendered heart and the gift of salvation.
