2023 July 2 Announcements
MONTHLY COLLECTION:
Our collection for the month of July is for Apostolic Christian LifePoints. LifePoints provides Christian homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With our support, LifePoints serves individuals at 17 homes that include Timber Ridge, Oakwood Estate, Linden Estate, and 14 smaller homes throughout Morton called Community Integrated Living Arrangements or “CILAs”. Since services are provided to each individual without regard to his or her ability to pay, our donations are needed for this outreach.

As they anticipate the retirement of their current Executive Director in about a year, the Gateway Woods board of directors is beginning its search to fill this position. We ask you to join them as they pray that God would call the right person to lead this Apostolic Christian ministry that provides hope and healing to hurting children and families. Please read the letter from Bro. Ed Graf below:
Greetings, Brothers and Sisters!
I hope this message finds you well. Many of you have heard that I will be retiring as the Executive Director of Gateway Woods in the spring of 2024. Our board of directors is beginning its search for my replacement, and I am writing to encourage you to do two things. First, please pray for the board and the person the Lord will bring to take my place. Second, ask yourself if you might be that person.
I’ve been at Gateway Woods for 29 years, but I was a manager in an automotive factory before that. I say that to express that while experience in youth & family social work is very helpful, it is not the only background a person can have and lead a noteworthy ministry of our church. If you are a proven leader and manager, who handles complexity and learns quickly, please consider this opportunity prayerfully. I love our church, and I love Gateway Woods. I would love to come alongside whoever the Lord chooses and work together for a smooth leadership transition next year. If you, or someone you know, might be that person, please visit: https://gatewaywoods.org/get-involved/careers.
Your servant in Jesus Christ,
Ed Graf
Executive Director
