SUNDAY SCHOOL COLLECTION ITEM: Toilet paper for the HeartHouse
THIS WEEK’S EVENTS:
This Thursday evening there will be a praise and worship event at the Cannery in Eureka.
All church and Fellowship Hall cleaning will begin on Friday evening at 6pm. We will focus on the Fellowship Hall Friday night. Saturday cleaning will begin at 7:30 am. Both the church and the Fellowship Hall will be opened during the day on Friday for those who would like to go earlier. Please sign up if you can bring a sweeper or stepladder as well as sign up for what area of the church you are willing to help clean. The Sunday school Easter program will be next Sunday, April 2nd during our afternoon service.
It is Goodfield’s turn to have Sunday morning services at the Eureka AC Home each Sunday in April. These services begin at 8:45 a.m. with singing until 9:00 a.m. when the message starts. Up to 25 people (including children) can attend so please come help sing and support our ministers if you are able. Maybe let the minister or song leader know if you plan to attend. On April 2nd, Bro. Kurt Plattner plans to have the service and Bro. Erik Wiegand will be the song leader.
The Adult Friends Bible Studies will be held each Sunday morning in April (except Easter Sunday) at 10:00 a.m. in the Gathering Room. Bro. Kurt Plattner plans to lead these studies. Please be prayerful for Bro. Kurt and all those who attend.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Our annual business meeting was held yesterday afternoon. This is the packet that was handed out: 2023 Annual Business Meeting Packet
Everyone is invited to our Good Friday service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7th. Members and converts will remain after the service for communion. Bro. James Fehr from Tremont plans to be with us. There is a sheet at the message center to sign up for babysitting during communion on Friday, April 7th. Please contact Sis. Kasey Roth for further information.
The Sunrise Service will be April 9th starting at 7:30 at the Fellowship Hall with breakfast following. We are looking for people to help with food prep on Saturday morning and to help serve breakfast on Sunday morning. Please click-here to sign-up if you are able to help. Contact Bro. Jon & Sis. We plan to have testimonies and baptisms on April 15th and 16th for Adam & Kathy Herrmann and Aiden Post. Testimonies will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th. It is Group 2’s turn to help and bring food and a sign-up list will be sent out hopefully this week.
The Outreach Team is currently exploring ways to enhance the first time visitor experience. We would love your help and input. If you are interested in sharing your ideas and talents in this area, please contact Bro. Erik or Sis. Carrie Wiegand. It is our intention to form a team that can help visitors feel welcome and comfortable on their first visit to our church.
The third phase of demolition for the Sunday school remodel is scheduled for the two Saturdays after Easter. Saturday, April 15th and 22nd. We are looking for 100 volunteers on each of those Saturdays as this phase is much larger than the previous phases. We are looking for men and women, young and old. We are planning on May 27 and 28th testimonies and baptisms for Vinnie Schick and Sammie Barcikowski/Fisher. Testimonies will start at 6:30.
