Registration for the 2023 Apologetics Conference on Saturday, November 11 in Indianapolis is now open to all interested attendees. Registration is required and will close on November 1. The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness of what apologetics is, why it matters, and provide entryways into major apologetic questions. This year's theme is: Does God Matter?
While "Does God exist?" may be one of mankind’s most fundamental questions, our increasingly secular society seems to be asking a different question: "Does it even matter?" Join us at the 2023 Apologetics Conference as we discuss how to respond to atheism and apathy.

We are excited to kick off the next step in our journey toward more spiritual growth among the men of our church. We are calling our endeavor Growing Godly Guys or G3 and we would like to invite all the men and boys of the church 5th grade and up to coffee next Sunday, November 5th in the Gathering Room at 9:00 AM. At this meeting we will have a short devotion and an explanation of how we plan to get the guys of our church more connected to each other and to the Word. We will be wrapped up by 9:40 for Sunday School and church.
The Adult Friends Bible Studies will be held each Sunday morning in November at 10:00 a.m. in the Gathering Room. Bro. Jeff Wiegand plans to lead these studies. Please be prayerful for Bro. Jeff and all those who attend.
LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
It's time to sign up for rotating potluck for 2024. If you would like to participate, the sign-up sheets are at the message center. If you have any questions, please see Sis. Joni Zacha or Sis. Susie Blunier.
The K-4 Active kids will be packing Operation Christmas Child boxes on November 15.
If your child wants to put together a box, please let Sis. Cassie Knepp know so we are sure to have enough boxes for each child. There is a paper with additional information that you can pick up at the message center. Don’t forget to send in small toys/filler items for the boxes. We will take any donations for those items as well!
Please use this new link to sign up to help paint the mural in the Sunday School hallway. Anyone who can color inside the lines is welcome to sign up to help. Click here to view an updated slideshow of the progress on the Sunday school creation mural. We are asking for high school ages and older to help with the painting of the creation mural down in the church basement. We will have 3 or 4 people at a time and add more time slots as we progress so check back often. Contact Sis. Dawn Maloney with any questions.
NATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
HarvestCall’s next large-scale winter rebuilding ministry will be in Jennings, Louisiana.
On October 9th, 2020, Hurricane Delta made landfall on Louisiana’s Gulf coast as a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph. This occurred just six weeks after Hurricane Laura – a larger, much stronger storm impacted the same area. With recovery still underway from the earlier storm, many structures had temporary tarping which was easily ripped off creating even greater damage to these exposed structures. Additionally, this came near the height of the COVID pandemic, greatly reducing the number of volunteers who came to help out.
Now, a little more than three years later, many are still in need of our help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives. Homes will be re-roofed and repaired for underserved people who suffered loss and are unable to recover on their own.
While construction is the obvious activity of this ministry, the primary goal is to share the love of Christ and proclaim the Gospel.
· Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 7, 2024, and continuing through March 22, 2024. Please consider giving your time and talents to minister to those in need.
· Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the Gospel with those we serve.
· Serving from a posture of humility is of utmost importance.
Online registration is required for all team members and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday, November 15th at www.harvestcall.org.
