Our dear Sister Verna Hartter passed away. Her visitation will be on Friday, March 27th from 4-7 at the Fellowship Hall. Funeral will be this Saturday, March 29th at 10:00 at the church with further visitation from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Please be prayerful for the Hartter family during this time.
Sunday afternoon we are looking forward to our Sunday School sharing the Easter story with our Easter program.

Gas prices are going up and people dealing with getting to work and feeding a family are going to feel the pinch of these rising costs. The gift of a gas card can free up funds in their monthly budget.

There will be babysitting available during Communion in the Gathering Room after Good Friday service. There is a sign up at the Message Center to sign up children that will attend, as well as those who are willing to help baby sit. Apostolic Christian Counseling and Family Services (ACCFS) is seeking to fill a full time and part time Administrative Assistant position in our Morton, IL office. This role is much more than clerical work. It is an opportunity to actively support the mission of ACCFS, helping individuals and families receive the Christ centered care they need. The Administrative Assistant helps uphold the ministry by supporting office functions, assisting clients, and providing direct administrative support to the Clinical Director.
We are seeking someone who is:
· A member in good standing of the Apostolic Christian Church
· Organized and detail oriented
· Warm, steady, and able to interact with individuals who may be facing stress or difficulty
· Skilled in communication and office technologies

BAPTISM ANNOUNCEMENT:

This Wednesday evening we plan to have a testimony night. Bro. Zach & Sis. Allison Sutter will be sharing with us. This will be at the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome. All church cleaning will be held this Friday evening, March 13th and Saturday morning, March 14th. Cleaning supplies will be provided, but please bring sweepers and step ladders if possible. Instructions will be posted at the church. Darrel Stoller, our board members from the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home, will be talking about the last 60-year history of the home and the future of an Assisted Living facility. LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: We would like to extend a big thank you to Nate and Brittany Zeltwanger and their committee for hosting the marriage conference this weekend. Other couples were Robert and Melissa Rokey, Dan and Kayla Wiegand, Rhonda and Loren Zeltwanger, Emily and Nate Sauder, Curt and Larissa Wettstein, and Ross and Kitty Hermann. We would like to update the church on our building exploration process. We have established a building exploration committee and provided them with the feedback from our church survey and discussions. They have met several times now and are exploring three basic paths: Option #1 - Updates – Upgrades to interior of church with possible minor exterior/addition work Option #2 - Major update – Upgrades to interior of church with addition(s) Option #3 - Potential new build. Next steps will involve budgeting and putting together ideas on rough order of magnitude costs for each of these options. Once direction has been prayed about and approved, we will develop committees to work on different areas/aspects of the direction we pursue. All items are being reviewed and discussed to provide the church with options to move forward or remain as we are currently. The good news is that we don’t have to do anything, however, the last time a major remodel was done has been over 50 years ago! If anyone has questions, let any of us on the committee know and we will discuss them as a group. The committee specifically is asking for prayers for God to direct us and the church on how to move forward. We understand we are stewards of what God has given us, and our main goal as a church is to provide teaching, community, and discipleship to show the love of Jesus to the world! Through a grant, Heartline and Heart House in Eureka is replacing all of the floors in the shelter and front office. This will be done in 4-5 different phases. During each phase they need volunteers to help take apart furniture and move furniture so the new floors can be laid and then move the furniture back. In early February, we will be sending out our annual Sunday School and Trustee ballot. If you would like to have your name removed from the ballot for any reason, please let Bro. At some point in the future, we may narrow down the ballot with some age restrictions but for this year we will leave all eligible brothers and sisters on the ballot unless they voluntarily opt out. It’s with mixed emotions that we want to announce that Bro. Roman and Sis. Ambria Bauman have accepted a position at Gateway Woods Children’s Home in Leo. They plan on moving some time in April and we will have a sending service sometime before then. We appreciate their willingness to serve in that important mission and we wish them God’s blessings and comfort through this transition. You will then take the green binder back and exchange for the purple binder the Sunday before you serve. The purple binder has key and the rest of the information you will need to serve. Sis. Roxy will note in the weekly announcement email who serves in two weeks so you are alerted and can get started with the planning. It will include a short discussion about what a discipleship group is and then a panel discussion with several brothers and sisters describing groups that they are involved with. Everyone is welcome to come spend some time with our residents there. Our study for 2026 Winter Group Study is “Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers”. While we know what Christ has done for us on the cross, do we really understand His heart for His people who are striving heavenward yet are weary and faltering on the journey? This study reflects on the words of Jesus when He said, "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."
