2019 June 9 Announcements

Roxy Blunier • Jun 10, 2019

Our collection for the month of June is for our local area relief projects. Thanks to all of you for the efforts that have been put forth in this area. All of the different projects areas that we are involved in are listed in our church directory or on the website. If you have any questions or would like to be more involved, please see Sis. Dawn Maloney.

Due to poor drainage issues, the landscaping on the south side of the church needs to be replaced. We will be having a volunteer work opportunity this Saturday, June 15th from 8:00am-12:00pm. We will be relocating the landscape rock, and digging up the existing plants. The plants will be given away on a first come, first served basis. Contact Bro. Brian Rieke with questions.

The Eureka Home is needing baked goods for a fundraiser this Saturday, June 15th.  There is a signup sheet at message center.  If questions, call Wendy Falk 309-467-2311 at the Home.

Please mark your calendars for our 2019 Vacation Bible School, which will be held the week of July 15th – 19th for children 3 years old through the 8th grade based on the Sunday School class they were in for the 2018-19 school year.  Our theme this year is "Mission Possible" and we will be learning about our Great Commission including ways we can live this out through our four national church missions (Harvest Call, LifePoints, Gateway Woods, and ACCFS). We are in need of many volunteers to teach and help with crafts and snacks.  Please click here for an opportunity to bless others and be blessed by signing up to help.  Please see Bro. Darrell or Sis. Jennifer Stoller with questions.

The Gateway Woods benefit auction is coming up on Saturday, August 3rd. If you would be willing to donate items or money toward items please see Bro. Erik Wiegand. Items can be dropped off at their house or brought to church.

We are planning reinstatement services for Ethel Finley on Wednesday, June 12th and testimonies and baptisms for Diane Gregory on June 29th and 30th.

The Bible Class arrived safely in Sunset Gap Tennessee last night. They would like to thank our church family for the prayers. We are also prayerful for the spouses and families who are at home this week.

All the camps are now under the umbrella of Harvest Call and the registration has moved to the Harvest Call Service Reef website. The process is very different than before so it is important to pay close attention to these instructions. All campers, counselors, and staff can sign up for any of the 4 camps at the website linked here. https://harvestcall.servicereef.com/events If you already signed up as a counselor/staff on the Google Doc link sent out previously you will have to re-sign up at the new link above!! The old link is no longer active! Make sure you select the correct camp and the correct camper vs counselor sign up! The new registration process is a little bit confusing but we are in the process of working out the kinks. Parents will need to make an account for themselves and then may proceed to sign up each child for the appropriate camp. *Pay close attention to where your name goes and where your child’s name goes.*
