Our collection for the month of July is for Apostolic Christian LifePoints. This is one of the national missions of our church. Below is some additional information from LifePoints.
Thanks for your support and the support of your church. We are humbled by the loving support we receive in prayer and in finances.
1. We are grateful to be one of the national missions of the Apostolic Christian Church and are very grateful for the high level of commitment we feel from the church.
2. Because of the COVID crisis, funding for our services has changed in several ways and may change in additional ways.
o We were eligible for some of the federal crisis funding which has been very helpful in giving enhanced wages during the crisis. This is a one-time grant.
o The State has recognized that providers are serving clients 24/7 as opposed to them going to independent programs during the day. They have supplemented daily rates to reflect that. This expires July 1. .
o We do not yet know what impact the change in the economy will have on our donations. In the past it has not been significant but we have never faced unemployment at the current level nor the serious disruption of business.
3. We are not able to project what the rest of this year will look like. At present the Lord has provided this enhanced funding which is very helpful for current needs. We are not able to predict what our needs will be in the near future and we are grateful for your ongoing support.
4. Donations will continue to be used for the following:
o a. Serving church-related clients: To provide funding for clients who are not eligible for Medicaid funds but for whom we are committed to serve because they are church related clients.
o b. Funding shortfall: To make up the difference between the amounts reimbursed by Medicaid and the actual costs of serving our clients.
o c. Staff stabilization: To allow us to pay competitive wages and benefits to assure sufficient and quality staff.
o d. Capital Needs: To accommodate the need for periodic renovations, improvements, and new capital projects.
5. There is a great deal of information on our web site regarding funding, donating, jobs and activities. Please share this with others as appropriate http://www.aclifepoints.org/
If there are questions or concerns about anything we do we invite people to inquire, share concerns or ask for explanations. We want an open and supportive relationship with the church. The Goodfield church rep is Bro. Royce Schieler.
In light of the Proclaim and Serve Mission Conference in Peoria being cancelled, HarvestCall is hosting a virtual version of the conference on Friday evening July 10, from 6-9pm Central Time. The theme will be “The Commission Continues.” Please plan on joining for an evening of heart-stirring presentations and testimonies about the furtherance of the gospel. Japan, Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico will all be represented through video, along with a live keynote presentation. All attendees must register in advance, please visit proclaimandserve.org to register and get more information. Upon registration all attendees will be guided regarding how to access the conference.
There are two more spots open for teacher helpers on the VBS sign up. Please prayerfully consider this.
The reassembly team plans to meet every three weeks or so to review our local situation and determine if we can move forward with less precautions, continue the same, or if the situation requires any additional precautions to be reinstated or added. Thank you for your patience, prayers, and love for each other as we continue to work our way back to church services that feel more familiar. Please feel free to share ongoing feedback with us. Especially via email or text so we remember your thoughts at our next meeting.
