Our collection for the month of November is for the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
All church Christmas caroling, COVID style, is tentatively planned for Friday, Dec. 11th. Meet at church at 6pm. Caroling will be all outdoors, and the meal afterwards will be a pre-packaged gondola meal.
Click here to sign up. Groups will be created once the sign-up is complete. There are no sign ups to bring food. If you plan to sing but won't be coming back for the meal, please let Sis. Abby Schick know, so they can plan food amounts. Contact Sis. Abby Bauman or Sis. Abby Schick with any questions.
Reminder of the young group girls’ soup and sandwich supper and Bible study at Sis. Mikaila Rocke’s this Tuesday, December 1, starting at 6:00pm. Please RSVP to Sis. Marsha.
Lord willing we plan to have Cale Schumacher’s testimony and baptism next weekend. Testimony will start at 7pm on Saturday and the baptism will be held at a special 10:30 service on Sunday. We will still have SS and a regular service at 9 as well. Everyone is welcome to attend either service.
Note from Eureka AC Home:
Dear Sponsoring Churches,
Your local mission, the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka, needs your help. We currently have a critical shortage of medical staff members including nurses and CNAs. This shortage has been an increasing problem over the past few years and although this situation has been exacerbated by the number of staff members that have had to miss work due to COVID and/or quarantining due to exposure, it is not directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would appreciate if you would consider helping in the following ways:
• Please pray for God to send us qualified staff with a heart for the elderly.
• If you have a nursing or CNA license, please prayerfully consider applying at the Home. We have a variety of shifts open and would love the opportunity to talk further with you.
• If you are considering a nursing career, we would encourage you to enroll in our free CNA class with a commitment to work here for one year. Our next CAN class starts on January 4th.
• If you are a parent or grandparent, please encourage your children and/or grandchildren to prayerfully consider working at the Home in any department. We need you to plant in them seeds of love for the elderly.
The key to the high quality of care that we are able to provide at our Home is our dedicated loving staff. It is very important that we have individuals from our own churches help to provide a strong base for our staff.
Thank you for your prayers and consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Kim Joos, Administrator
Holly Bauman, Director of Nursing
Cindy Stoller, Assistant Director of Nursing
