Our collection for the month of November is for the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
We will have our adult friends Bible study the rest of the Sundays in November. These will be held in the big room at the Fellowship Hall at the 9:00 service and Bro. Kurt Plattner will be leading the studies.
Harvest Call Sewing Projects will be held this Tuesday, November 10, from 9-10:30 in the middle room of the Fellowship Hall. Please come prepared to follow public health guidelines. Babysitting will not be offered at this time. Contact Sis. Brittany Zeltwanger if you would like to participate from home and are interested in a take-home kit.
There will be a young group Bible study at Bro. Trevor & Sis. Mikaila Rocke’s house this Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.
The convert and new member classes will begin next Sunday, November 15th and will be held during the 9:00 AM service rather than the 10:30 service like the invitations said. Classes will still be held in the church conference room.
For all women, please save the date Thursday, November 19th for HarvestCall blankets tying night for Empower Life Center (formally the Women's Pregnancy Center) at the Fellowship Hall. We will also be collecting items for the layette kits. More details will be coming. If you have any questions please contact Ellie Gramm or Sis. Brittany Zeltwanger.
HarvestCall’s next large-scale winter rebuilding ministry will be in Marianna, Florida. Numerous homes will be rebuilt or repaired for underserved people who suffered catastrophic loss from Hurricane Michael in October of 2018. They need our help to rebuild their homes and lives. Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 10, 2021 and continuing through March 31, 2021. Please consider giving of your time and talents to minister to those in need.
• Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the gospel with those we serve.
• Strict COVID-19 risk mitigation practices will be practiced. Compliance is required. Those interested in participating should read the full COVID requirements posted on the website prior to registration.
Online registration is required for team members and opens at noon Central time on Monday, November 23 at www.harvestcall.org.
Our dear sister Luann Knapp passed away on Saturday. Visitation will be held from 10 - 10:30 am Tuesday at the Goodfield Apostolic Christian Church. Private family grave side service will be held at the Goodfield – Congerville Apostolic Cemetery on Tuesday. Please be prayerful for the entire Knapp family.
Message from Bro. Mike & Sis. Gretchen Zimmerman:
We are truly blessed with the pouring out of prayers, cards, gifts, and love as we bid our final farewells to Mike's dad. We know there will be a great reunion coming soon, but while we are here on this earth, we need each other to encourage and support us as we go through life. You have done this for our family as we have lost both our dads in these last 6 months. May God bless you for all you have done for us.
Message from Elder Brothers Trent Meiss, Ron Messner & Mark Streitmatter regarding the Ordained Deacon Process:
We are thankful for the privilege of working with the Goodfield church and your ministers. We appreciate each of them and their willingness to serve from this pulpit. We appreciate your patience in working with us and appreciate your expressions on the ballots for Ordained Deacon. We know you have made it a matter of prayer and that was reflected on your ballots. We are at peace with what the balloting revealed and we are thankful to be able to share a result. Brother Jeff Wiegand received the most support on the ballots and a good majority of the church indicated their willingness to have him serve as ordained deacon to the Goodfield church. Over the years we have found it helpful to give the church a chance to express their support through a confirmation ballot. We will be doing this on Wednesday but also online for those who are not able to be there. We want to clarify that the confirmation ballot is not about expressing your preference again. We now have a result and this ballot is a chance for each of you to submit to the will of the church and to express your desire to come together to support Bro. Jeff in this role.
