Our collection for the month of September is for Hospital Lumiere in Haiti.
The Hospital Lumiere team in Haiti is presently seeking candidates for missionary service in a variety of roles that might fit the calling, interests and experience of someone in this church. Singles, Couples and Families of all ages are encouraged to prayerfully consider full time missionary service supporting the ministry and outreach in Bonne Fin, Haiti. There are many service and ministry opportunities at Hospital Lumiere. The most important qualification is that the brother and/or sister is called by God to serve at the hospital. The service opportunity and placement will be developed to match the candidate’s interest and experience. Our local HarvestCall Representative, Bro. Dale Wyss, has detailed information about position needs and desired qualifications.
The Hospital Lumiere benefit auction this year will be a virtual on-line auction starting on Thursday, November 5 and ending on Saturday, November 7. There are still a lot of details to figure out, but they plan to offer item pickup times for the winning bidders at the Sam Leman dealership in Eureka. If winning bidders are from a distance, they can arrange shipping and/or delivery of items. Due to the logistics involved in a virtual auction, they are encouraging items that:
1- Do not require shipping like - dinners, vacation packages, gift certificates, services, admission passes.
2- Small/lightweight items like - games, toys, food items, tools, electronics, outdoor recreation.
3- Cash donations to support the event and to purchase items from on-line vendors like Amazon who can ship items directly to the winning bidder.
They are now accepting items for the 2020 auction.

for the donation form. This form should be returned to Bro. Rich Bertschi at Sam Leman in Eureka or to Sis. Jill and Bro. Greg Wagner, along with any items that are donated, by October 31st. The donor name and address will only be used to send a thank you and tax receipt. All donors will be anonymous; donor names will not be listed in the auction program except for items like dinners, services or other listings where a name is required. There will be a “Hospital Lumiere” wish/shopping list on Amazon. Items purchased from this list can be shipped directly to Eureka.
