Our collection for the month of October is for HarvestCall World Relief.
The ROOTS program, which encourages intergenerational relationships among our church family, will be starting up again with a new group this fall. We are doing things a little differently this year. If you would like to sign up to be one of the options for students to choose as an adult encourager, please respond to
this survey, or, sign up at the message center. The students will then be given a list of willing participants, and will be paired with one of those participants. The commitment for the adult encouragers is to connect with the student you are paired with at a minimum of once per month. Thank you for your prayerful consideration in participating as we cultivate relationships in the church. If you have questions about the program, please contact Bro. Kent & Sis. Lanae Wiegand, Bro. Jim & Sis. Ree Hartman, Bro. Luke & Sis. Jill Rocke, or Bro. Russell & Sis. Andrea Wiegand.
Item donations are needed for the Hospital Lumiere’s virtual benefit auction planned for Thursday, November 4 through Saturday, November 6. They are especially in need of service items, such as meals, babysitting service, vacation trips - that sort of thing. Auction items should be in by Oct. 31 or sooner if possible. Items can be brought to Bro. Greg & Sis. Jill Wagner’s house or they can be taken to Sam Leman auto dealership in Eureka. Here is a link to view items which will be on the Hospital Lumiere Auction:

Please have all shoebox items for Operation Christmas Child to the 2nd grade Sunday school classroom by this Wednesday the 27th. There are extra information sheets regarding this at the message center. If you have questions, please contact Sis. Beth Sauder or Sis. Rachel McClure.
This Wednesday evening we plan to have Bro. Ted Witzig Jr. from Morton join us at the Fellowship Hall at 7:30 p.m. His topic will be “Compassion without Compromise”. This will give us tools on how to deal with the LGBTQ movement in the world today. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend.
As you are aware from seeing Help Wanted signs on nearly every business door in the community, staffing shortages are widespread. Apostolic Christian LifePoints, a ministry of the Apostolic Christian Church, is not shielded from these shortages and is currently in critical need of direct care providers (resident aide, dietary and housekeeping staff, direct support professionals).
We are asking for your help by applying OR referring individuals to apply for direct care positions. Whether you can commit to one shift per week or full-time hours we need you immediately. No experience is necessary, just come with hands ready for service and a heart filled with compassion. We can accept applications from individuals 16 years old and older. We will provide paid training for all. For those applying now, we are offering a generous sign-on bonus paid out incrementally.
As always we appreciate your prayer support as we navigate this road in our journey.
Volunteers Needed for Disaster Rebuilding
HarvestCall’s next large-scale winter rebuilding ministry will be in Lafayette, Louisiana.
On October 9th, 2020 Hurricane Delta made landfall on Louisiana’s Gulf coast with sustained winds near 100 mph and torrential rain with up to 16” accumulation. This combination caused catastrophic damage throughout the area. They need our help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives.
Homes will be re-roofed and repaired for underserved people who suffered loss and are unable to recover on their own.
While construction is the obvious activity of this ministry, the primary goal is to share the love of Christ and proclaim the gospel.
• Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 9, 2022 and continuing through March 25, 2022. Please consider giving of your time and talents to minister to those in need.
• Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the gospel with those we serve.
Online registration is required for all team members and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday, November 17th at http://www.harvestcall.org
The Apostolic Christian Medical Fellowship (ACMF) Meeting is Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Goodfield Fellowship Center for health care providers and their spouses. If you are listed on the HarvestCall Health Care Provider list, you will receive an invitation with a Google sign-up list via email. For health care providers who are on the provider list, we appreciate your responses by April 3, 2022. For health care providers not on the list, you can contact Lori Wiegand if you plan to attend. All church associated health care providers are invited and encouraged to attend this event.
Sis. Carol Hohulin’s brother, Bro. Wayne Guingrich of Peoria passed away on Thursday. His visitation was Sunday afternoon at the Haskell Funeral home in Wyoming, Illinois and his funeral was this morning at the Bradford church. Please be prayerful for Sis. Carol, Bro. Harold and their family.
