Our collection for the month of April is for the Charity Fund.
The trustees would like to thank all that braved the brisk morning Saturday and assisted with the outside cleanup of our campus. We had great help and accomplished our cleanup in great time! May God bless each of you for your labor of love!!
There are lost and found items from church cleaning hanging on the coat rack and on the table in the ladies’ coat room. Anything left at the end of the month will be taken to Goodwill.
As you may be aware, we recently changed the terms for Sunday School Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent to 2 years each. The ministers and the current brothers serving in these capacities have nominated three brothers for you to consider for this position. We have also adjusted the duties of both positions. These duties are explained in
this document. Please take the time to vote by this Friday, April 15th. If you do not have email access please contact either Sis. Roxy Blunier or Bro. Jeff Grimm to receive a paper ballot. Brothers Rick Bauman, Nate Sauder and Wade Wettstein have agreed to be considered for this position. Thanks for your prayerful consideration of this very important matter.
Harvest Call Sewing Projects will be held this Tuesday from 9 to 11 at the Fellowship Hall.
Thanks for prayers for our Illinois elder and deacon meeting in Bloomington Saturday.
We plan to have a Good Friday church service followed by communion this Friday, April 15th at 7:00 p.m. This will cancel our Wednesday evening service this week. Bro. Brad Strahm and his wife Sis. Michelle from Bern, Kansas plan to be with us.
Regarding babysitting during communion:
If you haven’t signed up yet, please text or call Sis. Amy Hinrichsen with the names and ages of your kids who will be needing childcare that night.
Please contact Amy if you have any questions or if your daughter or son would like to help babysit!
Next Sunday, Easter Sunday we plan to have a sunrise service at the Fellowship Hall at 7:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend. This will be followed by a breakfast for everyone and then a morning church service at 10:00 a.m. We will not have lunch or an afternoon service on that day.
Trusting in the Lord‘s blessing and direction we are thankful to announce the engagement of our dear Sis. Saige Anderson to Bro. Joseph Anderson from Congerville. Sister Saige is the daughter of the late John Anderson and Anna Parker and Joseph is the son of Jon and Cyndee Anderson. May the Lord bless Joe and Saige in their new life together.
