Bro. Erik and Sis. Carrie Wiegand went to the Gateway Woods Representative meeting this week. They would like to send a care package with encouraging notes to Bro. Clint and Sis. Sydney Schumacher and Sis. Amber Ehnle who are serving at Gateway Woods. There is a small notebook for the Schumacher’s and Amber at the message center where you can jot a quick note for them if you would like. They would like to get it sent to them early this week. As you know, Gateway is also really needing a Houseparent couple and assistant. Erik & Carrie would love to visit with anyone even remotely interested.
As true Christ followers, what is our mission? To spread the Gospel unto all nations. The Great Commission as it is laid out in Matthew 28:19. If you’re a Christian, you’re a missionary – and our own nation needs missionaries spreading the Good News more than ever. Every day at Gateway Woods, our staff encounter those who have never heard the Gospel – right here in our nation! Broken, hurting, and lost souls are searching for hope-filled futures. While we, as humans, can’t restore them, we can point them to the One who can.
Gateway Woods is looking for staff members to join this mission. We have openings in many different roles. From houseparents to educators, public relations to farmers, all skillsets are vital in spreading the Gospel message. When you say yes to serving on the domestic mission field at Gateway Woods, you agree to life-changing work. You are signing up for opened eyes, minds, and hearts. You are agreeing to fulfilling joy as you share the Gospel, and unexpected humility as He shapes your life while doing so.
Come be part of a mission field that is white for the harvest – it just needs some willing reapers with an eternal perspective. Visit
gatewaywoods.org/careers for more info on all job openings.

We would like to make a change in the way we have our church business meeting. We plan to have an abbreviated meeting on Sunday, March 20th during the afternoon service. We will plan to approve our new Sunday School teachers and trustee as well as brief trustee, treasurer and Fellowship Hall reports. All other normal reports will be given during the month when we take the collection for that particular ministry. Here is a timeline and format of how we will plan to handle this meeting.
• Start with an abbreviated Church service. Then finish with a prayer for the meeting (approximately 20 minutes)
• Business meeting would be called to order and the 3 reports given as well as approvals for new church offices. (approximately 20 minutes.)
• We should be finished by the normal time of 1pm
• Everyone is encouraged to stay and participate in this important part of our church function.
We are very thankful to announce that Mary Beth Schmidgall is at peace with God and man and is ready for baptism. Please pray for her and encourage her during this most important time in her life. If you have any words of encouragement or concerns, please contact her. Mary Beth is the wife of Chris Schmidgall. We are planning for May 21st and 22nd testimony and baptisms. Brothers Frank Sauder from Roanoke and Jon Schmidgall from Mediapolis, IA plan to be with us. Mary Beth began her repentance in Roanoke and brother Jon is her uncle.
